Raising confident, secure kids in uncertain times

In recent years, many of us have navigated an overwhelming landscape of worry. Whether you’re a parent going through a tough time, have a child that struggles with anxiety, or you’re simply seeking strategies to improve your family’s emotional well-being, you’ve come to the right place.

Creating calm feels harder than ever for parents

As a parent, you want to create a physically and emotionally safe place for your child, but it can be hard in a world of national emergencies, school shootings, political and economic uncertainty, and evolving technology that consumes more and more of our attention. Unexpected circumstances at home– like a move, a loss, or divorce– can also unsettle a child’s sense of stability and security. It feels harder than ever to create a sense of calm: anxiety is on the rise and continually growing in both children and parents.

A must-have guidebook for helping your child conquer worry, fear, and overwhelm

Raising Calm Kids in a World of Worry offers a vital solution for parents with anxious kids in an unpredictable world. Packed with real-life examples, you’ll learn where worry comes from, how to recognize it in your child and discover practical strategies to foster closer bonds, encourage open conversations, and create a calmer, more connected home. With these tools, you'll become a more confident parent and help your child find ease when they need it most.

Building self-esteem and identity in kids and teens

As kids grow, they naturally become more aware of how they’re similar and different from their peers. Whether they’re navigating friendships, exploring their gender identity, or tackling tough challenges at school, these experiences can feel overwhelming for both kids and parents. As children think about who they are, how they fit in, and how others perceive them, they can struggle with self-esteem. IThe journey of figuring out who we are is daunting, and when combined with internal and external pressures  can leave kids vulnerable to anxiety and emotional stress.

Child therapy gives kids tools to manage big feelings, build confidence, and feel more secure in themselves. And that impact extends beyond just them: in my work with children and teens, they often become more open with their parents, leading to stronger, more connected relationships at home.
